I am a free spirited poet from Brazil but the whole world is my home. I didn’t choose to be a poet but I would say that poetry chose me. At the age of 19, I fell in love with a beautiful woman and I had this strong urge to speak about it which got translated into poetry.
I was born in Porto Alegre and was brought up in Fortaleza in Brazil. I keep traveling frequently from Brazil to Europe and then Europe to India. India is a land of powerful hope and optimism to me. Every time I am in India, I feel this strong sense of belonging and the vibrancy here is very addictive.
It all started eighteen years ago when I heard about Mother Teresa and I decided to visit her in India. I didn’t have enough money for my trip. So against my parents will, I sold my car and bought a ticket from Rio to Madrid. From Madrid to Calcutta, I walked barefoot for 9 months just to meet Mother Teresa. And since then, I am in love with India.
I have written all my poems in these small colorful books which I carry along with me. I also teach people to make these small books and have taken several sessions about bookmaking in Bangalore. My books are my dreams, my stories, my poems and my messages of love and freedom to people.
